Rainforest conservation recognitionDeloitte’s leadership in the African rainforest has been recognised globally by having a new species of frog named after the firm. Nectophrynoides deloittei was discovered in the Ruhebo forest in Tanzania; an ecologically diverse area the size of Wales that we are helping to preserve through our Rainforest Conservation Project. |

Payroll Giving Gold AwardDeloitte has been awarded a Gold Quality Mark for payroll giving for the second consecutive year from HM Treasury. More than 2,500 Deloitte people participate in our GAYE scheme, supporting a variety of different charities and we have one of the highest participation rates among big companies in the UK. |

Beyond Sport AwardWe won the inaugural Beyond Sport award for our Deloitte Disability Sport Programme for best Corporate Responsibility in Sport in July 2009. Disability Sport is a £3.4million initiative to develop access to sport for disabled people at a grass roots level while also supporting talented and elite disabled athletes. |

Cancer Research UK Best Employee Fundraising PartnershipDeloitte was awarded Best Employee Fundraising Partnership by Cancer Research UK at their Business Supporters' Celebration Event in 2009. Cancer Research UK and NSPCC are our national charity partners for 2008/9 and we expect to have raised £1.5 million for by the end of the partnership in December 2009. |
