Deloitte triumphed twice at the LexisNexis 2011 Taxation awards last night. Our International Private Client Services team was recognised as the “Best High Net Worth Team” and our Dispute Resolution Group (DRG) has won the accolade of “Best Big Four Tax Team.”

Deloitte scores 98% in Corporate Responsibility Index to achieve platinum status

Our approach to Corporate Responsibility has been awarded Platinum status, with an astounding 98% score, in an independent assessment of our responsible business practice. The Corporate Responsibility Index is the UK’s leading benchmark of responsible business, run by Business in the Community. Reaching Platinum is a highlight of our progress and leadership in Corporate Responsibility.

Deloitte has obtained ISO27001 accreditation - the international standard for information security management.

Deloitte has obtained ISO14001 accreditation - the internationally recognised standard for environmental management - for our Environmental Management System.

Rainforest conservation recognition
Deloitte’s leadership in the African rainforest has been recognised globally by having a new species of frog named after the firm. Nectophrynoides deloittei was discovered in the Ruhebo forest in Tanzania; an ecologically diverse area the size of Wales that we are helping to preserve through our Rainforest Conservation Project.

CorpComms Digi Award 2010: Best use of Twitter – the Twitter Opera, Deloitte Ignite

The CorpComms Digi Awards celebrate the most innovative use of digital media in corporate communication strategies. Deloitte and the Royal Opera House won in the category of Best Use of Twitter, for the Twitter Opera during the Deloitte Ignite festival in 2009.

Media Guardian Innovation Awards 2010

Nominated for the Campaigning award for the Twitter Opera. The awards program recognises the brightest and best achievements across the media and new media landscapes. Deloitte and the Royal Opera House were nominated for the Campaigning award for the Twitter Opera during Deloitte Ignite.

Deloitte treasury tax team named 'Best Tax Adviser'

Deloitte has been voted 'Best Tax Adviser' in the 2010 Treasury Management International (TMI) Awards for Excellence in Treasury Management.

Deloitte has been ranked second in renewables advisory for wind and biofuels, and first for solar power in Energy Risk magazine’s second annual Environmental Rankings published in December 2009.

The Accountancy Age Awards
Deloitte collected the prestigious Global Firm of the Year and Employer of the Year awards at the Accountancy Age Awards in October 2009.

The Times Top 100 Graduate Employers
Deloitte has been ranked as the second most sought-after graduate employer in the UK for the fourth consecutive year in The Times Top 100 Graduate Employers index published recently.

The Times Top 50 - Where women want to work 2009
For the fourth consecutive year, Deloitte has won external recognition as a firm Where Women Want to Work in the 2009 The Times Top 50 survey.

LexisNexis Taxation Awards

The Deloitte Indirect Tax Dispute Resolution Group was named Best VAT Team for the second time in three years and was presented with the award for Best Technological Innovation.

Hollis Sponsorship Award 2009

Deloitte and the Royal Opera House were awarded ‘Best Art Sponsorship’ at the 2009 Hollis Awards for Deloitte Ignite, a free, three day contemporary arts festival held for the first time in September 2008. Deloitte and the Royal Opera House were up against stiff competition including HSBC, Lloyds TSB Scotland, French Connection and Tennents Lager.

Management Consultancies Association (MCA) Management Awards 2009

Deloitte took three category awards and the Platinum Award for best overall project at the Management Consultancies Association (MCA) Management Awards 2009, a quarter of all the awards. The awards recognise the role of management consultants in significantly improving the performance of private and public organisations.

• Platinum Award and Environment Award - Deloitte provided specialist consulting and technical expertise that enabled successful implementation of Transport for London’s Low Emission Zone.
• Human Resources Award - following Thomson’s acquisition of Reuters, Deloitte worked with Thomson Reuters to manage the change that involved 50,000 staff in almost 100 countries, integrating HR systems and developing a unified HR leadership team that enabled employees to work effectively within a fast-changing and uncertain environment.
• Outsourcing Award - over a 12 week period, Deloitte deployed a team of experts in Santiago, Sao Paolo, New York and London to successfully negotiate the sale of Unilever's two Shared Service Centres in Brazil and Chile and negotiate the ongoing provision of outsourced financial services with the new owner.

Business in the Community awards

• Deloitte has been awarded a Platinum rating in the Business in the Community 2008 Corporate Responsibility Index. The Firm’s performance in the overall index increased to 95.5% (from 93.5% in 2007) and 95% for environment.
• Deloitte is one of only 21 UK based companies to be awarded the CommunityMark by Business in the Community recognising excellence in community investment.

Beyond Sport Awards

Deloitte Disability Sport was awarded a major global accolade: ‘Best Corporate Social Responsibility in Sport’ at the Beyond Sport Awards. Beyond Sport seeks to celebrate and support any individual or group, from the grassroots to the global, with the goal to drive positive change through sport. Winning the award recognises the importance of Deloitte’s contribution to delivering social change through disability sport.

Deloitte was voted professional services firm by BVCA and Real Deals Private Equity Awards 2008. Deloitte was voted for this prestigious award by peers in the industry, which noted Deloitte’s growth record, innovative service offering and the quality of its deal record.

2008 Management Consultancies Association (MCA) Management Awards

The Sunday Times Best Green Companies 2008

Deloitte is one of the 50 best green companies, according to the Sunday Times Green List 2008.  Deloitte entered the list at 13th place in London and 42nd place in the UK.
