Design, Development and Implementation of Telematic Devices and Equipment
The main objective of transport telematics is to increase transport quality and convenience, ensure mobility, increase transport security, improve transport services, take part in reducing the negative impact of transport on the environment, especially in terms of road transport, and, last but not least, increase the economy and efficiency of transport processes. Besides operating management and the use of passenger and freight routes, transport telematic outputs can also be used for transport process price determination, allocation of funds to regions and identification of places for logistics junctions both in the state and within the EU, including switching to alternative means of transport and evaluating local impacts on the environment given the limited possibilities of transport infrastructure development and the sharp rise in road transport in recent years.
Transport telematics will enable the identification of transport process patterns through intelligent transport systems (ITS). Knowledge taken from a number of fields, such as transport infrastructure, logistics, telecommunications, environment, transport engineering, transport urban landscaping and road traffic security, is integrated. Data is available concerning the influence of transport on the related activities' economy, the transport policy documentation and the transport policy enforcement and control tools.
