Cost Reduction

The objective of advisory services in this area is to increase an organisation's performance by identifying cost-reduction opportunities and measures, and ensuring the subsequent implementation thereof under company-specific conditions. Cost-reduction projects focus on comprehensively identifying cost-reduction opportunities according to an individual organisation's functional areas (Production and Operations, Finance, Human Resources, Logistics, Procurement, IS/IT), for which particular optimisation recommendations are subsequently proposed. Attention is paid, as a rule, to an individual client's functions which offer the largest opportunities for cost-reduction or the functions which the client is not able to resolve by internal resources due to lack of professional experience and/or capacities.

Within the cost-reduction projects, recommendations and measures having immediate positive impact on a client's economy (quick hits) are proposed, the implementation of which under client's conditions are not demanding in terms of used sources (time, costs). Moreover, system recommendations and measures are offered, the implementation of which are usually more demanding in terms of used sources and implementation time, and are often conditional on other factors or changes.
