Prague, 5 May 2008 – Deloitte Central Europe announces the launch of the 9th Technology Fast 50 annual awards. The programme is intended for young and innovative technology companies ranked by revenue growth over the past five years.
Celebrating its 9th year, the Technology Fast 50 programme has become a prestigious event where the number of applicants continues to grow more and more each year. “While last year's winners of Technology Fast 50 hailed primarily from Poland, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Slovakia and Latvia, this year we expect to see companies from expanding markets such as Bulgaria, Romania and Croatia in the rankings,” says Dariusz Nachyla, the Regional Managing Partner for Technology, Media and Telecommunications.
„I highly regard our success in such a prestigious competition as the Technology Fast 50 ranking us the fastest growing technology company in the Czech Republic. I trust that our success in meeting our development plan and delivering an increasing number of projects to our major clients also contributed to winning such a great ranking.“
— Jiří Bíba,
Executive Director Cleverlance Enterprise Solutions, a.s.
The revenue growth of the top technology companies over five years increases from year to year. The revenue of recent winners of this award programme has grown by almost 4,000 percent over five years while the average growth of ranked companies is about 850 percent.
With revenue increase of 11,226 percent over the past five years, Blue Media, Sp. z o.o., an integrator of innovative information technologies in Poland, finished 1st in last year's competition. Sebastian Ptak, Managing Director of Blue Media, Sp. z o.o. commented on this win: “In the era of the internet and quick developments in mobile services, the term innovativeness is often abused by companies, which label themselves as innovative. However, companies that appear in Deloitte's ranking are fully entitled to use this term.”
Czech Cleverlance Enterprise Solutions again ranked among the top ten companies in last year's Central European Technology Fast 50. Their story clearly demonstrates that information technologies belong among industries experiencing robust development.
The repeated ranking of Cleverlance Enterprise Solutions among the top companies in the Technology Fast 50 awards is a prestigious matter for the company. However, a high ranking is not just about winning recognition and prestige; a successful ranking in the competition also works as an effective marketing tool. “More local and overseas partners has asked for our services,” says Jiří Bíba, Executive Director Cleverlance Enterprise Solutions, a.s., which ranked the second fastest growing technology company in the Czech Republic in last year's awards.
The company was founded in 2000; in 2005 when it met the maturity criteria, it took part in the Technology Fast 50 programme for the first time and became the fastest growing technology company in Central Europe. With revenue growth of 2,933 percent over five years it even ranked as the fastest growing technology company in Central Europe over the nine years of the Fast 50 ranking.
Last year, Cleverlance Solutions reported revenues of CZK 623 million, ranking them the largest software provider in the Czech Republic in the 2007 Technology Fast 50 awards. “Cleverlance managed not only to meet but also to exceed its 2007 revenue plan mainly because of its employees whose work is excellent and always professional,” says Jiří Bíba, Executive Director. “I highly regard our success in such a prestigious competition as the Technology Fast 50 ranking us the fastest growing technology company in the Czech Republic. I trust that our success in meeting our development plan and delivering an increasing number of projects to our major clients also contributed to winning such a great ranking.”
Online registration and eligibility criteria can be found on the regional Fast 50 website, www.deloitte.com/fast50ce. This year’s competition has been announced on 5 May 2008 and will close on 30 June 2008. As in previous years, winners of the regional competition will automatically be nominated in the Europe-wide competition known as “Technology Fast 500 EMEA”.
“ Every year we work on reaching a larger audience of technology savvy companies. In order to salute the efforts of even more of these innovative teams so that they may increase their awareness in the market, we welcome as many companies as possible into the competition. We wish the best of luck to all participants in this year's competition and we look forward to seeing the winners at ceremonies that will take place in October,” says Dariusz Nachyla.
