Artists Express Values Common in Art and Business Through Their Paintings |
Prague, 22 October 2009 — The worlds of art and business might be closer than we think. This idea is being expressed by five young Czech and Slovak artists at an event organised by Deloitte, a professional services firm. The aim of the Art of Success exhibition is to reflect the common values of the seemingly distant worlds of art and business through the work of young artists.
A group of promising young artists was able to garner the attention of the art community and received an interesting offer: to express through their work the values that represent the pillars of success in both art and business. The outcome was five paintings entitled “Intuition”, “Courage”, “Vision”, “Knowledge” and “Zeal”. Absolute freedom of expression combined with the individual approach of each artist resulted in a wide range of artistic expression.
“We were interested in cooperating with young artists because we are fascinated by all kinds of talent. The result of their work proves that the art of achieving success is common to such seemingly unrelated fields as business and art”

“We were interested in cooperating with young artists because we are fascinated by all kinds of talent. The result of their work proves that the art of achieving success is common to such seemingly unrelated fields as business and art”, says Michal Petrman, OMP of Deloitte Czech Republic.
This week at the Prague office of Deloitte Czech Republic, the works of Miroslav Polách, Jitka Mikulicová, Martin Gerboc, Evžen Šimera and Ladislava Gažiová were presented for the first time at an opening for senior managers from major Czech companies. Over the next few months, the paintings will be displayed at selected business events and within one or two years, Deloitte plans to auction the paintings and donate the proceeds to help support aspiring young artists in the Czech Republic and Slovakia.
“The exhibited works reflect the feelings of up-and-coming artists of today’s generation. A strong generation with outstanding personalities, which at the same time is artistically complex. Their work draws inspiration from the 60s onwards and deals with provocative topics in an innovative way expressing the feelings of the new generation”, said curator Karel Babíček. “The proof of the artistic quality of the whole collection is its unity and the different creative approach used by each of the artists”, added Babíček.
