Corporate social responsibility

Helping the public

Over the years we have provided support to a number of charity and public projects in the Czech Republic. In compliance with the corporate responsibility strategy we have selected two new public investment initiatives where our contribution can mean a lot.

Supported organizations:

Technical University of Liberec

We sponsored a study abroad trip two handicapped students to universities in Sweden.

Markéta Pospíšilová, a sophomore in the Faculty of Education at TUL, will attend the University of Växjö in Sweden.
“Dear Ladies and Gentlemen,
Thank you very much for your financial gift. Without it I would not have been able to make my dream of studying abroad come true. Because of my situation, such a trip requires substantial additional costs which I would not have been able to pay myself.
Your financial gift has allowed me to realise my dream and I look forward to the new experiences and adventures which my studies abroad will surely bring.
Participating in this competition was an interesting challenge for me.
With kind regards,
Markéta Pospíšilová”
Michala Rutteová, a junior in the Faculty of Economics at TUL, will attend the University of Kristianstad in Sweden.
“Greetings,
I am writing to thank you very much for your financial support for my study abroad. Your financial help will allow me to study abroad without any major limitations. Studying abroad has been my big dream for quite a while. I know that it will help me in my future studies and career, and enable me to establish new contacts and friendships.
Without your financial support I would not be able to study abroad because I need regular physiotherapy which is very expensive. Once again, I thank you very much and I hope that other handicapped students will, like me, be given the opportunity to study abroad.
With kind regards and best wishes
Michala Rutteová”

Life 90

The donated amount will be used to support the senior phone emergency line and violence counselling.

The cheque for the total amount was presented to Jan Lorman, Foundation Director, by Michal Petrman during the AIDA benefit performance at the National Theatre on 1 October 2008.

Impact Day or a Day-Off for Charity

On 5 October 2008 the first annual Deloitte Impact Day took place with the participation of 51 employees. On that day, employees had a paid day-off to participate in projects they chose themselves. The following three programmes were supported:

  • Blood drive
  • Training of Amnesty International employees
  • Cleaning in the Shelter for Mothers and Children
