We see our responsibility towards the general public as an integral part of business. Therefore, Deloitte provides stable financial, physical or professional assistance to many charity or public projects in the Czech Republic.
Over the years, we have provided support to a number of charities and community projects in the Czech Republic. Following our Corporate social responsibility strategy, we have identified two community investment opportunities where our contribution can make a real difference.
Our partners have agreed to distribute the financial funds donated in the financial year 2013 to three groups of socially-disadvantaged citizens: providing access to education to young disabled students, helping seniors and supporting children from famine-stricken Somalia.

The fourth Deloitte Charity Day was held on 5 December at the Nile House premises.
In total, Deloitte collected CZK 50,000 from the sale of Belgic pralines donated to us by Leonidas. A certain amount of the proceeds from the sale of pralines was donated to support of foreign scholarship programmes for disabled university students.

In co-operation with the Svetluska Foundation and Committee of Goodwill – Olga Havel Foundation , Deloitte has organised a tender for a half-year scholarship abroad for disabled students.

In previous years, we have helped disabled students from the Technical University of Liberec, Masaryk University in Brno and visually-impaired students who won a tender organised by Deloitte and the Světluška foundation. Both students went to study in Germany.

The donation will be used to purchase 8 AREION monitoring systems. Thanks to the AREION system, seniors will be able to stay for as long as possible in the comforting environment of their homes.
The cheque with the amount was handed over to Jan Lorman, director of the foundation, by Deloitte OMP Josef Kotrba, on the occasion of International Seniors Day at the National Theatre on 1 October 2012.

The proceeds from the employee collection that we organised during September 2012 was distributed among four organisations as follows: Život 90 (senior citizens), UNICEF (children from famine-stricken countries) and the Committee of Goodwill – Olga Havel Foundation in Prague (disabled students).
On 8 July 2012, the 5th annual Impact Day organised by Deloitte took place. Fifty-one employees from Prague, Brno and Ostrava took part. They devoted one working day to provide physical help for a good cause.

Deloitte is one of general partners of the project Global Management Challenge Euromanager. This project is an international competition of teams focused on developing management abilities, where groups of students, university graduates and professionals compete in managing virtual companies based on realistic simulation of the business environment in the fields of marketing, production, human resources, procurement and finance.
We provide audits to Projekt Medela free of charge. This project is one of the activities of the Asante Kenya charity fund founded by Lejla Abbasová in 2006. The project goal is to improve the lives of disadvantaged children. The project cooperates with specific projects of non-profit organizations, that are located each on a different continent.
