Deloitte Cyprus has its origin back to 1958 when Christodoulos Chrysanthou and Michalakis Christoforou established Chrysanthou & Christoforou. Under their leadership and commitment to excellence, Chrysanthou & Christoforou grew to become a professional services firm better known for the integrity of its people and the quality of its services.
In 1988, Demetris Ioannides re-establishes Touche Ross. In 1990 the firm is renamed Deloitte & Touche following the global merger of Touche Ross International with Deloitte Haskins & Sells. Under the leadership of Demetris Ioannides the firm experiences high growth and in 1998 succeeds in winning the first services award of the Federation of the Employers & Industrialists (OEB) for economic achievement and quality.
The same year, Chrysanthou & Christoforou is selected by Arthur Andersen to become its representative firm in Cyprus. Under the leadership of Michalakis Christoforou the firm becomes one of the largest and most successful firms on the island.
In December 2002 Chrysanthou & Christoforou integrates with Deloitte & Touche. Under the leadership of Christis M. Christoforou, Deloitte doubles in size and evolves to become a truly multidisciplinary professional services organisation always retaining the same values and legacies of the founders - Ethos, Integrity and Quality.
