| The Deloitte Tax Championship is a competition organized by Deloitte Tax Research Foundation for university students in Greater China. It comprises two parts: a case study competition and an essay competition. The first case study competition was held in 2004 while the essay competition was introduced in 2006. The number of participants has increased every year since its inception. Last year, the competition attracted more than 200 students from 62 top universities in 28 Chinese cities. |
Case study competition
The case study competition consists of two sections: case study and quiz. The case study section involves identifying issues and opportunities in a simulated business situation and providing solutions to the issues. In the quiz section, teams answer questions on tax issues. Teams that made it through the first rounds to the national competition present their solutions before a panel of judges. The enrolment deadline for the case study competition is 1 June 2012.
Essay competition
Students are invited to write an essay in Simplified Chinese on one of the themes from 2010 to 2012 competitions:
