Entitled "A Long Path to Better Corporate Governance", the report surveyed about 100 listed companies on the Chinese Mainland to understand their current state of corporate governance practices. This is the first initiative from the Deloitte China Corporate Governance Centre, which was launched in April 2010 with the objective to facilitate knowledge sharing of major board room issues and support the development of corporate governance in China. The report found that Chinese enterprises understand the importance of corporate governance but a great deal of improvement can be expected in their corporate governance practice.
