This little "pocket guide" explains the requirements in Hong Kong's new HKFRS for Private Entities – which was issued by the HKICPA on 30 April 2010 and made available for immediate use by private companies, including for financial statements for prior periods that had not yet been finalized. Private companies are any that are not publicly traded and are not a bank or other financial institution that as one of its primary businesses holds funds in a fiduciary capacity for a broad group of outsiders.
