This report provides the list of the 50 winning companies, CEO survey, the opportunities, challenges, strategies, operation adjustment and outlook for high-tech companies in the next few years.
The 50 winning companies continue to cover a number of industry sectors, including communications/ network (18%), software (16%), life science/ medical equipment (12%), and cleantech/ new energy (10%). It is worth noting that the portion of communications/ network companies rose to the current level from 6% in the previous year, reflecting interest from the capital market in 3G-related businesses in the past year. Having winning companies from the Internet of things and intelligent transportation system is another spotlight of this year's program. Although these companies only account for 8% of the winnings, they are emerging sectors of high-tech companies, reflecting the changes to the life of citizens in China brought about by the rapid economic growth. The proportion of winnings from cleantech/ new energy companies dropped slightly this year, reflecting the industry convergence and gradual balancing in some overheated sectors.
In terms of location, nominated companies were from 12 cities and regions, but most winning companies came from Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen and Hong Kong, similar to the last two years.
