Deloitte is delighted to invite you to attend the third workshop in our educational series of free workshops on global mobility management. The third workshop on "China Individual Income Tax for Inbound Assignees" will be hosted by our Tax Directors, Isabel Liu and Feifei Li in Guangzhou and Shenzhen on May 15 and May 21, 2013 respectively. The presentation will be in Putonghua.
What are our series of workshops on the Global Mobility Management about?
Our workshops on Global Mobility Management focus on the practical aspects of international assignment where the host or home country is China. The sessions will include discussion on the basic China individual tax rules and regulations, implementation of tax equalization or tax protection in international assignment, consideration of basic compliance from individual tax, social security and immigration perspectives, cost optimization, and information where companies find useful for managing their global mobile workforce.
All the workshops are complimentary.
Workshop Three – Discussion on China Individual Income Tax for Inbound Assignees
In the context of economic globalization, a lot of multi-national companies (MNCs) are deploying staff in different locations around the world. China with a blooming economy attracts more inbound assignees than ever. However, in recent years, the China taxation authorities have been gradually enhancing the administration and control of China Individual Income Tax ("IIT") targeting on the high-income individuals, including the expatriate assignees sent over by MNCs. Therefore, MNCs should be well acquainted with the local tax requirements and take proactive actions to ensure the compliance.
This workshop will introduce PRC IIT compliance requirements for employers and employees, provide updates in relation to IIT on the inbound assignees from the statutory perspectives to the local practice requirement, and share some cases under the recent tax investigations. Also, we would be addressing any relevant questions or problems encountered in your daily operation. We look forward to your participation!
