Commitment to inclusive growth and development
As early as 1917, we opened an office in Shanghai. Backed by our global network, we deliver a full range of audit, tax, consulting and financial advisory services to national, multinational and growth enterprise clients in China. We have considerable experience in China and have been a significant contributor to the development of China’s accounting standards, taxation system and local professional accountants.

Learning to serve and serving to learn
Throughout the year we provide ample opportunities for our people to demonstrate one spirit which we believe is so true: learning to serve and serving to learn (note). These opportunities are conducted in diverse forms, such as visits to the underprivileged and the elderly, fundraising for charity, mentoring teenagers or university students and supporting the needy in disaster relief projects. Not only have we made a positive difference to the communities with whom we have worked, we have also provided Deloitte China colleagues with many valuable learning experiences which are enriching the personal and professional growth and development of all our people.
Note: This is actually the mission of one of our community service partners, Lingnan University's Office of Service Learning, with whom we are working on the 3-Year Yunnan Village Adoption Programme.
