Education

We see education as the most significant catalyst for sustainable change for the better and over the years in this regard, have committed to educational programmes for various sectors of the community.

We have launched 13 programmes since 2004 covering six aspects, namely, Youth Education, Promoting financial management learning in China, Expanding the experience of future talent, Non Profit making Organization (NPO) education, Media education, and Public policy education.

Youth education
Over the years, we have supported a range of national and regional youth development programmes because the leaders of the Youth education future are today's youth.

NPO education
We promote the development of China’s non-profit sector by participating in a program that brings together the resources of major multinational and domestic companies and international and domestic non-profit foundations, as well as to provide support to non-profit organisations in China.

Media education
In this new era of globalization, financial and economic development in China has been a hot topic all around the world. By sponsoring the Global Business Journalism Programme we hope to contribute to China's integration into the global financial infrastructure.

Public Policy education
Deloitte's sponsorship of Peking University's Global Public Policy Training Programme, aims to nurture future generations of public affairs administrators.

Promoting financial management learning in China
Drawing on Deloitte's specialist skills, over the past decade, we have helped train over 60,000 people in the Chinese Mainland on modern financial and management concepts via distance learning programmes co-developed with Shanghai Television University and ACCA. This programme has achieved over 100,000 examination sittings in 24 exam centers.

Expanding the experience of future talent
Deloitte China is committed to the development of a strong local accounting profession in China and aims to contribute to this goal. We are working with the Chinese Institute of Certified Public Accountants (CICPA) and the China Foreign Affairs University in Beijing to run a Student Secondment Programme to give university students an opportunity to spend 3 to 6 months working in a Deloitte Member firm overseas, including Canada, the US, the UK, France and Japan.
