The Boao Forum for Asia Annual Conference (BFA AC) 2012 took place in 
Hainan China from 31 March to 3 April. This is the 7th consecutive year for Deloitte as the Intellectual Supporting Partner of this premier international forum in Asia. At this year's conference themed "Asia in the changing world: Moving towards sound and sustainable development", the number of delegates exceeded 1,400, of which 77% were entrepreneurs coming from across the globe. A senior delegation of Deloitte partners led by Global Deputy CEO, Brian Derksen, Chairman of Deloitte Center for Cross-Border Investment & Former Deputy Secretary of the Treasury, USA, Robert Kimmitt, Asia Pacific CEO Chaly Mah, China Chairman Joseph Lo and China CEO Chris Lu participated to discuss with other business leaders, politicians and intellectuals on topics related to maintaining a stable environment and promoting continuous development in Asia amid economic uncertainty arising from international debt crises.

Chinese Private Enterprises Roundtable

Deloitte China CEO Chris Lu and Deloitte China Clients & Markets Managing Partner James Chen moderated this discussion on the transition towards a sustainable business model and the financing strategies in times of austerity and depressed market for private enterprises. This roundtable was chaired by the Chairman of All-China Private Enterprise Federation Bao Yujun, with Governor of Henan Province Guo Gengmao as a special guest.
