Deloitte at Boao: 2011 participation

Chinese Private Enterprises Roundtable and China CEO Roundtable: The role of China in global growth strategies

As Intellectual Supporting Partner, we aim to help BFA continually enhance its Annual Conference. Last year, we piloted for BFA a closed-door roundtable for China CEOs of MNCs which was so successful that BFA asked Deloitte to host it again this year, as well as launch an inaugural one for CEOs of China private enterprises, which was co-moderated by Deloitte China CEO, Chris Lu, and Deloitte China Clients & Markets Managing Partner, James Chen.

Deloitte Asia Pacific CEO, Chaly Mah, supported by Deloitte China Research and Insight Centre Director, Ken DeWoskin, moderated the close door China CEO roundtable which focused on the diverse role seen for China in the global growth strategies of large MNCs. Three major components of Chinese engagement were the focus, including sourcing in China, building market presence and using China as an R&D and overall innovation platform.

BFA /CCTV Young Leaders Roundtable: Charting growth: Include the excluded

Deloitte China Partner, Rosa Yang, was invited by BFA for the second consecutive year to be one of the young leaders to share her insight and vision on the existing development and growth models in Asia as well as the inclusive development endorsed by Asian governments.

Risk management: the unknown unknowns

Deloitte Global Managing Director, Jerry Leamon, served as one of the panelists at this panel discussion moderated by Joe Fuller, Co-Founder & CEO, Monitor Group.

As the global economy emerges from the economic recession of the past 2 years, companies around the world are faced with new challenges in managing growth amid increased risk and volatility, which the panel discussed with a focus on risk assessment and management and avoiding another Black Swan.

Boao conference session summaries and post conference reports

Deloitte was requested by BFA to provide session summaries for distribution to world media and publication on BFA's official website. Deloitte has also been invited to develop a co-branded post conference report for the third year running.

Deloitte thought leadership

Deloitte has developed a suite of research and thought leadership reports that reflect our insights on the topics to be discussed at the conference.
