Publish date: 12 January 2011
Deloitte is proud to be the Intellectual Supporting Partner of the Boao Forum for Asia (BFA) Annual Conference for the sixth consecutive year. In this capacity, the firm has supported the BFA on new initiatives related to the Annual Conference such as the launch in 2009 of the post-conference report, and a new China CEO roundtable event in 2010. Deloitte has just extended its agreement with the BFA to be the Intellectual Supporting Partner for another five years from 2011 to 2015.
With the theme of "Inclusive Development: Common Agenda & New Challenge", the BFA Annual Conference 2011 will be held in Hainan from 13 – 16 April, 2011. Mr. Chris Lu, Deloitte China CEO, said, "We have been a sponsor of the BFA since 2006 and we value the opportunity to participate in the BFA. It is among the premier annual events in the world's fastest growing region, Asia, and the only Forum that has an Asia-wide reach, focus, and participation. Deloitte is contributing to the BFA annual conference program development, leveraging its global resources, expertise and experience as the world's largest professional services organization*."
"We wish to congratulate the 10th year anniversary of BFA for 2011. BFA stands out among international conferences in Asia for being organized by regional leaders in government, business and academia on issues of relevance to those doing business in and with Asia. Over the years, the BFA Annual Conference has provided a platform for senior government officials and business leaders to share views and ideas on key issues that are relevant to the further development of the Asian economies," Mr. Lu added.
At last year's forum, Deloitte's China CEO moderated a special China CEO Roundtable, "The profit in green: strategies and best practices for building business in a green growth world", giving a platform for business executives to exchange experiences and ideas on the growing role of green in business, including the trends for energy efficiency and clean use of energy and the role of government. This year, Deloitte is honored to be invited to co-moderate the 2011 China CEO Roundtable.
"The topics covered at the Annual Conference are significant because they are selected by protagonists in the region and, as such, are strong indicators of the most current and relevant issues for economic and business development in Asia," Mr. Lu added.
