AIFMD and the Revision of the Collective Investment Schemes Act

Responding on the entry into force of the AIFMD on July 21, 2011, the Collective Investment Schemes Act will be partially revised in Switzerland. The consultation period has ended on October 7, 2011 and different statements have been submitted. The Federal Department of Finance FDF has published its report on the results of the consultation on December 23, 2011 and the respective dispatch has been adopted on March 2, 2012.

The article focuses on the impact of the AIFMD on Switzerland and specifies the proposed amendments to the Collective Investment Schemes Act. In addition, the article refers to the statements submitted during the consultation process and if they have been taken into consideration in the dispatch.
