Unprecedented levels of regulation and rising litigation are causing audit committees to place increasing expectations on internal audit functions. The challenge for internal audit is to deliver high quality assurance over current and emerging risks across financial, operational, IT, regulatory compliance and strategic business functions.
Our teams deliver the following services:
- Internal Audit Outsourcing – We can provide an entire internal audit team that gives assurance over the full range of risks across the organisation. Reporting to either an in-house contract manager or directly to the audit committee and management, we can assure an appropriate degree of independence and objectivity.
- Internal Audit Co-Sourcing – This model involves a partnership between Deloitte and the private bank’s in-house internal audit and provides an organisation access to our internal audit professionals to satisfy core and specialist requirements. We work closely with our clients to ensure that their internal audit requirements are aligned to their overall strategy.
- Internal Audit Assessment & Transformation – We can work with in-house internal audit functions to help them assess, establish or transform their key processes.
- External Quality Assessments of Internal Audit Functions - Per IIA standards (Institute of Internal Audit) external assessments of internal audit functions must be conducted at least once every five years by a qualified, independent reviewer. We do not only provide such reviews but more importantly add value by focusing on what is really important for your bank.
In all cases, we will add value by providing not only highly trained specialists but also leading tools and methodologies.
