New Brunswick Finance Minister Greg Bryne presented the 2010-2011 budget on December 1, 2009.
On January 28, 2010, Finance Minister J. Michael Miltenberger presented the 2010-2011 budget to the Legislative Assembly of the Northwest Territories. In recognition of the fact that economic recovery will be slow, the budget included no new taxes. However, effective April 1, 2010, there will be policies in place to make adjustments to property tax rates, tobacco tax rates and liquor mark-ups to reflect inflation. Alberta’s Minister of Finance and Enterprise, Ted Morton, presented the province’s 2010 budget on February 9, 2010. No new tax initiatives were announced in the budget. Personal credits have been indexed for inflation – as previously announced on December 22, 2009, for 2010, credit amounts will increase 0.3%. As well, concerns about aggressive tax planning were noted: “Alberta Finance and Enterprise is working diligently with other provincial and federal jurisdictions to identify and pursue tax avoidance schemes”. British Columbia Finance Minister Colin Hansen presented the 2010 budget on March 2, 2010.
Nunavut’s Finance Minister, Mr. Keith Peterson, tabled the budget in the Legislative Assembly on March 8, 2010. The budget included no new tax measures. For more information, please refer to the Department of Finance’s website.

Saskatchewan Finance Minister Rod Gantefoer presented the 2010 budget on March 24, 2010.

Yukon Premier Dennis Fentie presented the 2010 territorial budget on March 25, 2010. The budget did not introduce any new tax measures or tax rate changes.
