Privately speaking – Tax insights

Private company services newsletter series

Privately speaking - Tax insights for private companies It would be easy to conclude that private companies are characterized by the economic hurdles they have to jump over. Those issues do after all tend to dominate media coverage. This year we saw many companies grow through targeted spending in the form of acquisitions, infrastructure enhancement and product and service innovation. Although these companies were aware of economic uncertainty on the horizon, their focus was squarely on growing their businesses and identifying new income streams. Private companies consistently prove that if you are nimble enough, innovative enough and have a growth-oriented focus, there are opportunities to be found even in an uncertain economy.

To help stakeholders think through their shared challenges, Deloitte’s quarterly Privately speaking – Tax insights newsletter identifies three to five of the top tax issues faced by private companies. We bring tax ideas but we also deliver important news and relevant commentary from our range of services, including audit and consulting.

By gaining a better understanding of tax opportunities and offers, private companies can maximize access to available credits and other incentives. They can also begin to develop a full range of strategic options to prepare for a wide range of possible tax scenarios and minimize overall tax costs without disrupting business operations.

Download the latest issue of our newsletter today to gain tax insights, best practices, a concise perspective on tax realities and valuable guidance to help your company lay a foundation for future growth.
