Jonathan Goodman
Partner and Co-leader of Monitor, Deloitte Canada

Jonathan Goodman is a partner and co-leader of Monitor Deloitte Canada, based in Toronto.  
He is formerly a senior partner of Monitor Group where he was head of the firm’s global strategy practice and co-chair of Monitor Canada. Jonathan also previously oversaw Monitor’s North American advisory business, acted as a member of the firm’s Global Executive Committee, and served twice on Monitor’s Board of Directors (from 1996 -2001, and again from 2007 -2010).

Originally joining Monitor in 1986, and co-founding Monitor in Toronto in 1987, Jonathan has spent his time working closely with the executive management of a variety of global corporations to develop business unit and corporate strategies, evaluate and implement acquisition and merger opportunities, create alignment of vision through organizational strategy, as well as develop and execute value creation programs.

Jonathan has developed client relationships in a variety of industries, including media, information, sports and consumer goods, industrials, natural resources, financial services and private equity.

Jonathan currently serves as Chair of the Canadian Nieman Fellowship and as Honorary Advisor to the Board of the Canadian Jewish News.  Until recently he was Lead Director and on the Audit Committee of Counsel Corporation, as well as a member of the Board of Trustees for the Ontario Science Centre.

Jonathan received his MBA from the Harvard Graduate School of Business Administration and his Bachelor of Arts degree with honours from York University.
