Impact and Deloitte announce the winners of national entrepreneurship mentorship program

Ten young Canadian entrepreneurs inaugurated into first cohort of Impact Infused program

Toronto, Ontario, November 17, 2011 - At the Impact gala on November 16, ten young Canadian entrepreneurs were inaugurated into the first cohort of the Impact Infused program. As a joint effort between Deloitte and non-profit organization Impact Entrepreneurship Group, Infused is a nation-changing initiative that aims to transform Canada’s entrepreneurial landscape. The program will take already successful young entrepreneurs, integrate them into a network of veteran business leaders to stimulate their growth, and accelerate their potential to positively impact Canada’s economy.

The winning companies, which include a recently funded Y Combinator start-up, and a US venture-captial-backed Toronto company, span from British Columbia to Ontario, and are led by entrepreneurs as young as 22 years old. The Infused winners for 2011 are already sending ripples of disruption throughout the realms of social gaming, book publishing and education.
