Valerie Chort Valerie Chort is a partner with Deloitte’s Enterprise risk services and is National leader of the Sustainability and climate change practice. She provides national direction and expertise in the areas of environment, health & safety (EHS), sustainability, corporate responsibility (CR), climate change and energy management. She’s also a member of Deloitte’s global Sustainability & climate change leadership team and an advisor to Deloitte Canada’s internal corporate responsibility program. Valerie advises clients on how to better understand, plan and manage a broad range of sustainability issues including the development of environmental, social and governance strategies; reporting and disclosure; verification of non-financial information; stakeholder engagement; climate change / energy management strategy, risk management and scenario planning; and contingent financial environmental liabilities. For over 18 years she has helped national and international businesses, governments and non-governmental organizations create opportunity by proactively managing environmental and social risks and implementing programs that deliver both shareholder and stakeholder value. |
