Retail Outlook 2012 – The Next Evolution: Store 3.0™Retailer readiness for tomorrow’s store |

The retail environment is changing rapidly. Consumer adoption of emerging technologies has dramatically changed shoppers’ behaviours. Stores are now becoming just one part of a larger, more connected and complicated customer experience.
Deloitte’s eighth annual Retail Outlook breakfast session took place on March 6, 2012 at Real Sports Bar & Grill.
At this year’s session, Jennifer Lee and Eric Matusiak, senior managers in Deloitte’s Retail practice, presented key insights on the evolution of “the store,” including the path to purchase, digital influences and the role of the traditional store.
Brent Houlden, Deloitte's National Retail Practice Leader, moderated an interactive panel discussion with key Canadian retailers and industry professionals. The panelists discussed the future of the evolving retail environment and provided insight on three areas of necessary metamorphosis: the physical space, the store talent and the process and systems.
