Integration of global trade and capital flows, and the many links that connect the world’s economy are of the utmost importance to continued global prosperity.
Yet the practices and institutions that regulate these links, specifically the international monetary system as well as the main international currencies that underpin this system, are under increasing pressure.
Deloitte and the World Economic Forum engaged over 200 experts from academia, and the public and private sectors in Brussels, New York, London, Beijing, Davos-Klosters and Tianjin to explore the future of the global monetary system in a series of workshops.
The insights gained from these workshops will be shared at a breakfast panel-discussion that sheds light on how economic uncertainties may play out and how stakeholders can prepare.
Our panelists include:
Craig Alexander – Chief Economist, TD Bank Financial
Chris Harvey – Global Managing Director, Global Head, Financial Services, Deloitte
Jesse McWaters – Manager, Firm Management, Deloitte
Jeremy Stretch – Head of G7 and European FX strategy, CIBC Macro Strategy
Moderator
Jeannot Blanchet – Partner, Canadian Financial Services Leader, Deloitte
The panelists will provide their views on the future of the International Monetary System and facilitate a discussion on monetary challenges facing business leaders. They will also discuss how businesses can prepare to meet those challenges.
