2012 represents the first year following the mandatory adoption of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) for many entities in Canada. In our series of IFRS quarterly technical updates, we provide you with a summary of recently and soon-to-be issued IFRSs, the status of topics being discussed by the IFRS Interpretations Committee (IFRIC) and practical reminders regarding specific IFRS requirements as we continue to move forward in an IFRS world.
In this Q1 technical update, combining technical knowledge with practical experience, our Deloitte presenters will discuss various accounting topics currently being discussed by IFRIC, recently issued new or amended standards, a reminder of standards that will be effective in 2012 and changes to the IASB project plan, as well as an update on regulatory matters.
