On September 23, 2011, Deloitte professionals across Canada will take part in a firm-wide day of volunteer service, dedicating our time to working together on community projects and supporting the communities in which we work and live. Instead of going to work in the office, we go to work in the community. We try to make a difference in ways that will better our local communities – by contributing to “hands-on” projects like painting and tree planting or delivering knowledge-based projects. |
This will be our firm’s seventh straight year participating in Impact Day activities. So far, we’ve established an enviable record of accomplishments in Deloitte Canada:
- 30,539 Deloitte people have participated in Impact Day activities
- 1,446 organizations have received support from Deloitte
- 2,456 projects have been completed
Impact Day is one of the ways Deloitte demonstrates that we care about our local communities and that helping others and making an impact is important to us. In most cases, we help facilitate projects that organizations wouldn’t otherwise have the time or resources to complete. Impact Day is also a lot of fun and gives us the chance to work with people in new and interesting ways.
