Each summer Deloitte hires students interested in Accounting, Actuarial Science, MIS, ERS, Tax and Human Capital to intern. The students spend June through August at Deloitte and are exposed to many different facets of the workings of a professional environment. Students are assigned in the capacity of assistants to senior staff, in the area of Audit; Accounting; Trust Services; IT; Tax; Law; Human Capital Services and Administrative Services, according to the student’s major and interest.
An important part of the internship goals are the skills that each develop within their service line and on the project that they are required complete with the internship group. The interns work together as a team to complete a project that serves either a local charity or a Deloitte initiative. The project results and findings are presented to managers and principals at the conclusion of the internship.
Each intern has the opportunity to get coached by a senior from their respective service line. It is a great opportunity to network and to understand the culture at Deloitte. Students that are seen to show initiative and those who exceed our expectations are usually invited back in the subsequent years and result in full time employment at the end of their degree.
