Sylvia PenevaSylvia Peneva is Country Managing Partner for Deloitte Bulgaria. She is а founder of Deloitte office in Bulgaria when it started in 1992. She is an Audit Partner in Deloitte Central Europe and Country Leader for Deloitte Bulgaria. She is a member of the Boаrd of Directors for Deloitte Central Europe. Sylvia Peneva leads Deloitte Bulgaria team for servicing financial sector institutions. She has more than 20 years experience in audits in Bulgaria and other countries. She has been in charge for number of audits of Bulgarian and international banks, financial institutions, manufacturing and trade companies, non-for-profit organizations. She has extensive experience in due diligences as well as a consultant in projects such as USAID, IBRD, PHARE and other international lending institutions programmes. She is a registered auditor in the Bulgarian Institute of Certified Public Accountants (BICPA) since 1998 and a member of the Chamber of Financial Auditors of Romania.
Vasko Raichev is a founder of Deloitte Bulgaria (1992) and long year Partner in Deloitte Central Europe until 2005, when he ceased his active professional career and committed to other social and professional endeavors. Since November 2010 he is Chairman of Deloitte Bulgaria assuming responsibilities of providing support to the Partners in professional business and service development, image building and positioning of Deloitte as a market leader. During the years in Deloitte, Vasko Raichev was occupying positions of a Risk and Reputation Partner for Central Europe, Managing Partner for Bulgaria and Macedonia and Partner in Charge for Audit Services. He was leading hundreds of audit engagements in financial services, transportation, telecommunication and public sectors and participating as a key team member in privatization, acquisition, restructuring and recovery projects of large-scale entities in Bulgaria and other Central European countries. Prior to his joining Deloitte, Vasko Raichev held the position of CFO of National Railway Company. At present Vasko Raichev is a Deputy Chairman of Institute of Certified Public Accountants in Bulgaria.
Georgi SarakostovWith more than 15 years of experience, Georgi Sarakostov is based in Sofia leading the Corporate Taxation and Indirect Taxation service lines in Bulgaria. Georgi joins us from PwC where he started as a VAT specialist. He has graduated Moscow University of International Relations. Georgi Sarakostov has a wealth of experience working in a regional practice and has participated in regional networks including International Tax Structuring and Transfer Pricing. He was involved in activities of non-government organizations focusing on improvement of tax regimes. Currently he is Co-Chairman of the CEIBG Tax and Legal Committee (Confederation of Employers and Industrialists in Bulgaria).
Desislava DinkovaDesislava Dinkova is a former Audit Manager from PWC Bulgaria, where she spent more than 6 years. Then she gained industry experience as CFO with Abbott Laboratories Bulgaria, while in the last 3 years she has successfully run the Audit practice of Grant Thornton in Bulgaria. Desislava Dinkova is an ACCA member, has Diploma from the European Academy „Financial Control of EU funds” and holds a master's degree in Economics from the University of National and World Economy in Sofia, Bulgaria.
Аsen DimovAssen Dimov is a Registered Auditor in Bulgaria, Certified Internal Auditor, Certified Government Audit Professional, Audit Partner in Deloitte Central Europe and Deloitte Bulgaria as well as ERS Partner for Bulgaria. He has been in charge of both statutory and international audits of many Bulgarian and international companies. His experience also includes due diligence leadership role on some of the largest privatization transactions in Bulgaria. Since 1996 when Assen Dimov joined Deloitte, he has been Partner in charge of more than 1,000 audits in compliance with International Standards on Auditing of Bulgarian and international commercial and manufacturing companies. He is a member of the Bulgarian Institute of Certified Public Accountants and Member of the Institute of Internal Auditors.
Ahmed HassanAhmed Hassan is the Office Managing Partner of Deloitte Balkan region. He is responsible for the strategy and direction of all Deloitte activities in Albania, Romania, Bulgaria, Kosovo and Moldova. In addition to his management duties, Ahmed Hassan focuses on providing audit and assurance services to both private and public organizations in various parts of Asia Pacific and Europe. He has extensive audit experience and related technical knowledge with multinational as well as local companies, operating in a broad range of sectors with a focus on manufacturing, media, fast-moving consumer goods, and financial institutions.
