Deloitte coverage and analysis of Belgium's federal budget 2012

After a prolonged and challenging budgetary negotiation process, Elio Di Rupo and the participating political parties have successfully come to an agreement on a federal budget plan for 2012.
The Law of 28 December 2011 containing miscellaneous measures implements some of the tax measures in the 2012 budget agreement:
- Wet houdende diverse bepalingen (amendment | verslag Commissie Financiën | aanvullend verslag Commissie Financiën | advies Raad van State | Staatsblad)
- Loi portant des dispositions diverses (amendment | rapport Commission Finances | rapport complémentaire Commission Finances | avis Conseil d’Etat | Moniteur)
The Federal Government is currently finalising a new “program law” and a "law containing miscellaneous measures" which further implement a number of tax measures put forward by the budget 2012 agreement.
