Foreign desks
For foreign businesses Belgium has a lot to offer as a holding country, logistics center and central location for the EMEA region. At the same time European firms remain eager to expand their presence in overseas markets. To serve this two-way traffic Deloitte Belgium has established a number of Foreign Desks. These bundle together the unique know-how of a multidisciplinary service firm, the extensive expertise gained through multiple client assignments, and the service capabilities of a worldwide network.
There are currently six Foreign Desks focused on Brazil, China, India, Japan, Russia and the US. They provide country-specific expertise in corporate taxes, customs, human capital, individual taxation and assurance. Local professionals with the relevant professional background are available to help close the frequently underestimated language and culture gaps. Other activities include organising seminars and taking part in international trade missions, promoting Belgium abroad as a gateway to Europe.
