Sam Sluismans

Sam Sluismans manages advisory services focused on Strategy & Innovation. These services include assessing the innovation capacity of an organisation, developing a future innovation vision, building innovation roadmaps and implementing these roadmaps. 

His clients typically seek for assistance in developing new business, setting out the priorities for the future and creating goodwill amongst management and staff to follow the innovation strategy. Sam started his career in ICT and governance assessments, the management of massive change projects and risk analyses with regard to innovation.

Furthermore, Sam is also responsible for implementation and roll out of the Innovation Strategy and roadmap of Deloitte Belgium, working closely with the top management of Deloitte.

Prof. Dr. Walter Van Dyck

Walter Van Dyck

Prof. Dr. Walter Van Dyck is Associate Professor Innovation Management at Vlerick Leuven Gent Management School where he leads the Innovation Cell at the Operations & Technology Management Centre.

Prior to joining academia, at IBM, in the former PricewaterhouseCoopers Life Sciences Practice he was a senior strategy consultant in the field of R&D and innovation management. He has a broad experience in life sciences and high-tech innovation and has a special expertise in teaching entrepreneurial bootcamps, and researching strategic technology and innovation management in multinational companies. Over the last four years he coached over 120 candidate corporate ventures at Janssen Pharmaceutica,  Cronos, Picanol, Exmar Shipping, OCAS Ventures (Arcelor-Mittal and Flemish Government), and Merck-Serono (D).

Dhr. Kris Vander Velpen

Kris Vander Velpen

Kris Vander Velpen holds an MBA from Cornell University and a Business Engineer degree in Computer Data Processing as well as a Bachelor in Thomistic Philosophy from the Catholic University Leuven.

Kris is now an independent consultant, building and implementing tailor-made innovation practices within major companies (J&J, Exmar, Alcatel-Lucent, ….) as well as executing ad-interim key positions within governmental bodies (Advisor Flemish Minister for Economy, Science and Innovation) or fast growing companies (Vulpia Group). He was formerly responsible for Fortis Venturing on a global scale and therefore board member of different intrapreneurial and entrepreneurial companies. Furthermore, he is an executive visiting professor “innovation and entrepreneurship” within several business schools ( Vlerick Leuven/Gent Management School, UAMS, Flanders Business School and IMD-Lausanne (CH)).
