First wave - Day 1 - Innovation happens in Limburg…20.09.2010 - Deloitte Innovation Fast Track |
Dear Colleagues,
Today our Deloitte Innovation teams have landed in the Beautiful Carbon Hotel in Genk. Fast tracking in Limburg may sound ironic, but then again if 20% of our Deloitte Technology Fast50 nominees are from this area there must be something in the air. My co-facilitators are Kris Vander Velpen and Walter Van Dyck from Vlerick who are bringing their innovation experience completely in their own very energetic ‘Dragons Den’ style. I wonder how many of our participants are still in their comfort zone when these two academics make scrap from their sales pitch and pull their market from under their business model. This is of course our intention because when you are innovating you will be confronted with your clients that will do exactly the same and by doing it now, we hope this will not happen when going to market. This way we are trying to live up to the promise to assist our innovators and entrepreneurs to become better business people.
Today we were challenging the ideas on how they will create value. Tomorrow we will learn on how to capture that value in order to close the session on Wednesday with how to deliver the value to our precious clients. Concluding with a presentation on Wednesday to the leadership of our firm.
Of course we will keep you posted on how the teams are evolving over the next couple of days.
