Second wave - Day 1 - Value creation
15.11.2010 - Deloitte Innovation Fast Track
Yesterday evening, while the rest of the country was drowning due to the heavy rainfall, our Deloitte Innovation Fast Track participants ran for higher ground to find shelter in the Carbon Hotel in Genk. Our second edition of the innovation Fast Track shows a lot of promise; highly driven participants and potentially some real breakthrough ideas.
After all the necessary introductions the participants got the opportunity to present their initial business cases followed by a Q & no A; meaning that the facilitators and judges were invited to ask the tough questions without giving the opportunity to rebuttal. General conclusion was that most presenters succeeded brilliantly in describing the issues at hand but tent to forget to state the obvious, namely the pain of the customer.
After dinner we retreated in to the bar to get acquainted and/or reminisce with colleagues, which took quite some time (so I’ve heard J)
Today was all theory and little play so I can imagine that the teams are anxious to start molding their idea and building their business plan. This late afternoon and tomorrow they will get the opportunity to prepare for a intermediate pitch to the other participants on Tuesday evening. I’m curious to see the progress …
