Performance and risk appetite recover

Deloitte Belgian CFO Survey Q4-2010

90% of the CFOs report their companies have ended 2010 on budget, 53% even outperformed their budget. Compared with the third quarter of 2010, companies ended the year even more positive than anticipated a few months earlier.

Also Belgian cash flow expectations have once again slightly improved. 75% of CFOs expect an increase of free cash flow over the next 12 months. The percentage of CFOs that expect a decline of free cash flow in the next 12 months remains low.

Almost half of surveyed CFOs report the risk on their balance sheet has decreased in 2010. For 35% of the CFOs now is a good moment to take greater risks onto their balance sheet, compared to only 15% one year ago.
