Cost management and revenue growth

Deloitte Belgian CFO Survey Q2-2010

Although cost management remains important, revenue growth is top of mind of CFOs. As highlighted earlier in this report, M&A activity will be a key driver for growth.

Short term crisis management measures seem to have served their purpose, and are no longer "universal" as was the case one year ago. The high proportion of CFOs that reported to consider re-locaton activities, has been confirmed in the latest survey.

Most popular functions to re-locate are production and ICT. Support activities -HR, finance- are currently much lower on the radar screen.

The main drivers to shift overshore are cost reduction (83%) and flexibility (31%). The two main drivers often go hand in hand with global delivery models and the objective to build a platform for growth.
