Upcoming changes to the Belgian Law on nationality

On 25 October 2012, the Belgian Chamber has approved a legislative proposal introducing several changes to the Law on Belgian Nationality (28 June 1984). According to Belgian procedures, this proposal has now been sent for approval to the Senate. Once approved by the Senate, the law is expected to enter into force on 1 January 2013.
