The new VAT invoicing rules, as applicable from 1 January 2013, affect the way companies do their VAT reporting and invoicing as the so-called tax points change.

Given the impact of the new rules on the invoicing and VAT reporting processes, Belgian businesses faced the threat of not being able to align their accounting and invoicing systems to the still unpublished VAT rules in due time. Aware of this, the Belgian tax authorities worked out a transitional regime that would apply during the whole of 2013, enabling Belgian businesses to adapt their systems and processes.

During this webinar, Johan Van der Paal and Ivan Massin explain in detail the transitional rules as adopted by the Belgian government.
