New VAT legislation in 2011 brought new challenges for every company when calculating their deductible VAT for business assets that are used for private purposes, especially for company cars. Companies are forced to administer the real private use of their business assets and limit the VAT deduction to the real professional use.
No need to say that those principles, although easy from a theoretical point of view, are hard to apply in practice. For example, how does a company manage to track the private kilometers driven with a company car by its employee?
Aware of the huge practical consequences, the Belgian tax authorities postponed the mandatory application of the new rules. Now the final details of the long expected addendum are released informally, we will inform you during this webinar about the administrative guidelines since the new rules must be applied from 1 January 2013.
During this webinar, Johan Van der Paal and Ivan Massin will guide you in detail through the principles of this addendum and answer all of your questions. The webinar includes examples and comparisons with the old rules.
