Diversity & Inclusion

Diversity, our greatest strength

Diversity is a reality in business today. Each one of us brings unique qualities to the workplace and into society. This is why we find it important to ensure each individual has the opportunity to unlock his/her full potential and reach the goals they aspire to. And as mobility and globalisation increase, we also need to enhance the cultural awareness and competence of our people, especially those working cross-border and in diverse multinational teams.

Deloitte organises diversity initiatives under the umbrella of the Diversity & Inclusion initiative, reflecting two of our core values: “strength from cultural diversity” and “commitment to each other”.

"Our culture is built on respect, diversity and shared values, and our core activities bring added value to clients and society. This sense of community, a culture of connectedness, has lasting value."

Tom Declercq, Managing Partner Talent

The figures

At the end of FY12, Deloitte Belgium comprised 54% male and 46% female employees. Over 250 of our colleagues are non-Belgians, representing over 40 different nationalities. Each of us is unique in what we believe and how we think, culture and background, age and lifestyle, and talent, education and career path. All these different dimensions are Deloitte’s greatest strength.

We also find it important to share our experiences and exchange ideas with the outside world. This is why we sponsor and participate in the annual Jump Forum.
