Doing business in a carbon-constrained economy

CPRS - what does it mean for tax?

Doing business in a carbon constrained economy

On 10 March, the Federal Government released its Carbon Pollution Reduction Scheme exposure draft legislation.

As you may be aware, the expected start date for the CPRS is July 2010. A simple practical framework will be critical to driving a coordinated approach, and to allow your business to navigate the tax laws and the CPRS rules and decide how to act and adjust your business. Important taxation considerations including key measures announced in the exposure draft legislation are highlighted in our  climate change tax alert.

If you would like more information about the CPRS and tax alert considerations, please speak to one of our national Climate Change and Sustainability Tax team.
