Claude is a Principal in the Deloitte Forensic team and has more than 35 years’ experience as a Chartered Accountant. He specialises in preparing reports and giving expert evidence in cases involving valuations of private companies and the calculation of damages. Since 1985, Claude has specialised in providing forensic accounting and valuation expertise to lawyers and their clients. His experience has given him an insight into a diversified range of economic sectors and industries.
Claude has acted in a wide variety of litigation matters involving the calculation of loss or damage or the analysis and critique of reports prepared by other expert accountants.
Claude has prepared independent expert reports or acted as a consulting expert in numerous matters requiring an opinion on value or on damages. Claude is skilled in analysing primary and secondary accounting records, interpreting financial statements, providing oral and written reports to legal advisers, preparing expert reports and giving expert witness testimony in Court. His experience provides him with the ability to present clear, concise and well-reasoned reports to explain and analyse complex financial issues.
Claude has also undertaken numerous royalty investigations on behalf of licensors in order to report on potential deficiencies in the reporting of royalties by licensees.
Claude has given expert evidence in the District Court of NSW, the Dust Diseases Tribunal, the Supreme Court of NSW, the Family Court of Australia, the Federal Court of Australia, the Supreme Court of Singapore and the Supreme Court of Western Samoa.
