The Liquidators of MF Global filed an application to Court in late 2011 seeking a Court determination on a number of matters relating to the calculation and distribution of money to clients.
On 1 February 2012, at the third meeting of the Committee of Creditors, the Committee unanimously passed a resolution in support of the Liquidators’ application in the Supreme Court.
The Proceedings were heard over four days from 26 June 2012 to 29 June 2012 by Justice Ashley Black. Justice Black reserved his judgment and advised that given the complexity of the Proceedings, his judgment could take some time.
On 29 August 2012 Justice Black handed down his reasons for judgment and subsequently made Orders on 19 September 2012. Both documents are available below.
