Deloitte partners Chris Campbell, Simon Cathro and John Greig were appointed Administrators of Vision on Friday 15 January 2010 and were subsequently appointed as Liquidators by resolution of the creditors on 21 May 2010. The primary asset of the Companies was the Vision site located at 111-131 Mary Street in the Brisbane CBD. The proposed development involving commercial, retail, tourism, residential and car parking services. It would have comprised of seven levels below ground and 72 levels above, with the building to reach 287m into the Brisbane CBD skyline, the tallest structure of its kind in the city. At the date of the appointment of the Administrators the Vision Site was a 22m deep excavation. Following a lengthy expression of interest campaign, the liquidators entered into a contract for the sale of the Vision site on 23 July 2010. After a number of delays including the Brisbane flooding in January 2011, the contract for the sale of the Vision Site settled on 23 February 2011. |
