Robert Hillard is a Deloitte Partner and leads the Australian Technology Consulting practice, a business with close to 700 client-facing technology practitioners. Robert has held international consulting leadership roles and provided advice to government and private sector clients around the world. He has spent more than twenty years looking over the horizon at how technology will impact all aspects of society and the economy. He is particularly known for his work in Information Management and is the author of Information-Driven Business (Wiley 2010).
Robert guides his clients on preparing for “digital disruption”, the information economy and the transformation that the technology discipline is going through as it moves from back-office systems to pervading every aspect of business and government. He is a regular conference speaker and is well known in the media as an expert on these topics. Much of work involves helping leadership teams and groups of stakeholders to find their own solutions to the challenges that technology brings to their industry sector.
Robert was an original founder of MIKE2.0 which provides a standard approach for Information and Data Management projects. He continues to support the initiative as the vice-president and a board member of the MIKE2.0 Governance Association, the Swiss non-profit governance body for MIKE2.0.
