| Deloitte has invested in a major global knowledge initiative to assess, interpret and enhance the way people work together in an organisation. Our approach provides a comprehensive and systematic way of measuring and classifying As One behaviour. We have developed three innovative ways to measure the relative strengths of ‘Who?’, ‘What?’, and ‘How? We are now working with leadership teams of large organisations globally to apply this unique approach. |

Who do people in your organisation feel most connected to? How can we leverage the tribes to deliver our strategy more effectively? The As One framework helps identify who are the cohesive groups most likely to work together effectively |

As a leader translates their challenges and opportunities into strategic priorities, some of these priorities have a more substantial need for collective behaviour than others. These priorities form the As One agenda, which is often difficult to execute on, due to the need to mobilise large groups of people. Leaders often think about their strategic priorities in ‘Who?’/’What?’ pairings, coupling the ‘Who?’ they want to work together with the ‘What?’ they want them to achieve. However, there is a third dimension that is required to complete the As One agenda: the ‘How?’ which defines the way people work together to achieve each strategic priority. This ‘missing dimension’ is often overlooked or misunderstood, which can create organisational ‘drag’ that inevitably limits progress. Our approach brings all three elements together: the ‘Who?’, the ‘How?’ and the ‘What’ to provide leaders with a clear picture of where they need to focus their attention. As One also defines eight distinct archetypes - different ways people understand an organisation and how to work together-categorized in leader-and-follower pairs:
