John has been working in the financial services industry since 2000 and joined Deloitte Actuaries & Consultants in 2009.
Prior to joining Deloitte, he worked for 3 years as Actuarial Manager at St Andrew’s Australia, a specialist provider of insurance and wealth management services in Australia. Prior to this, John worked for 6 years at AVIVA Life in Dublin, Ireland. He has broad actuarial experience and has worked in a number of areas, including:
- Product design and pricing
- Unit pricing and tax provisioning
- Model design and development
- Capital Management
- Risk Management
- Financial Reporting including Embedded Value analysis
- Statutory valuation actuarial audits.
John qualified as an actuary in 2006 (Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries) and holds an honours degree in Theoretical Physics from Trinity College Dublin.
